BMW Power Steering Thrust Repair Kit F2x/ F3x / F8x - 32106891974

Fix for the steering wheel clunk on F22 2-series, F30/F31 3-series, F32/F33/F36 4-series, F48 X1, F25 X3, and F26 X4. This is only for cars with Variable Sport Steering.

BMW developed this repair kit to remedy a steering "knock" or "clunk" commonly reported by owners of F22/F23 228i, 230i, M235i, M240i (2014-2020), F30/F31 320i, 328d, 328i, 330i, 335i, 340i (2012-2019), F32/F33/F34 428i, 430i, 435i, 440i (2014-2020), F48 X1 281 (2016-2020), F25 X3 28i, 35i(2011-2017), and F26 X4 28i, 35i, and M40i (2015-2018). This repair kit includes revised parts for the "thrust piece", located in the pinion shaft of the Thyssen Krupp steering rack. 

Only for cars with the Thyssenkrupp steering box. The cars that had this steering system has the "Variable Sports Steering (VSS)", which included steering weight changes in the different modes (eco, comfort, sport etc). NOT for cars with the non-variable ZF made steering box. Please verify before ordering. 

Installation requires a special tool to remove and install the cap. To avoid buying a tool you only need once we recommend having a professional install this. A wheel alignment is strongly recommended after install.
