BMW N54 Crankcase Vent Hose - 11157553949

Referred to as a vent hose, part of the PCV system.

It is extremely common to break or damage this hose when removing it while doing jobs such as replacing the valve cover etc.

Breather hoses for the PCV system are an important component as they allow oil vapor to travel from the crankcase to the cylinder head where it can be burned by the engine. With age the PCV system can become clogged from blow by and oil sludge and the individual hoses can become brittle and begin to leak.

Located on the back of the intake manifold towards the firewall, connects the PCV valve in the valve cover to the intake manifold.
